Eagle Release on McDonald Pass

Click to watch a YouTube video of the release

On June 18, 2013, Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks employees released a 13-pound female Bald Eagle on McDonald Pass in the Rocky Mountains. The Eagle was rehabilitated at the Montana Wildlife Center in Helena following debilitating injuries suffered from contact with high voltage transmission lines.

This release was successful. For even greater success in the future, the Montana Wildlife Center requires a new flight pen facility. The Foundation For Animals, is currently seeking $50,000 in grants and donations to build a flight pen at the wildlife center to enhance the rehabilitation of this type of wing injury.
